Tumblbug, a leading domestic crowdfunding platform operated by Backpacker Co., Ltd. (CEO Dong-hwan Kim), announced on the 28th that the first official goods funding for the occult blockbuster full-length animation 'The Exorcist', which opened on the 26th, surpassed 467 million won in cumulative funding within a day of opening.

The film 'The Exorcist', produced by cultural content company Locus, is an occult blockbuster animation based on the best-seller 'The Exorcist', which has sold over 10 million copies, and is the beginning of an epic story in which exorcists with special abilities fight against absolute evil.

Tumblbug's Exorcist's goods funding attracted a lot of attention even before it started. In just one day of pre-orders, 4,200 people applied, making it the project with the largest number of pre-notification applicants in Tumblbug's history. Considering that the current funding achievement rate has exceeded 16,500% and that there is about a month left until the end of the funding, the final cumulative funding amount is expected to be the largest ever in the animation goods field.

So far, there have been a total of 4,200 participants in the Exorcism Record funding, of which 87% are women and 13% are men. By age group, those in their 20s accounted for the largest proportion at 46%, followed by those in their 30s (38%) and those in their 40s and above (10%).

The average sponsorship amount per person is 118,300 won, and ▲Junhoo's wooden dolls ▲Park Yoon-gyu's bead strap keyring and tin case ▲amulet-shaped paper air fresheners ▲fabric posters, etc. are being sponsored successfully. In particular, the <Full Package> product sold out of the limited quantity of 500 in just 10 minutes, and the wooden doll set has achieved the highest funding performance with a cumulative 1,300 sponsored.

Kim Dong-hwan, CEO of Backpacker, said, “The Exorcist is a K-occult animation that has currently surpassed 480,000 cumulative viewers in Korea and is receiving great attention overseas,” and added, “We will continue to expand our support for creators in various fields such as movies, webtoons, and games so that domestic content can establish itself as a global cultural icon.”

Tumblbug has been attracting a lot of attention in the movie and game content fields, and has left several large-scale funding projects in the top 10 of all-time domestic crowdfunding. In November of last year, ▲'Dimension Beyond Another World Idol' broke the domestic crowdfunding record by recording a cumulative funding amount of 8.8 billion won, and ▲ has successfully completed major IP funding projects such as the animation 'Moonlight Angel' OST (2.63 billion won) and ▲ 2D action game 'Sannabi' (1.43 billion won).
