KAIST Venture Investment, 1 billion won pre-seed investment in 'Podonos'

KAIST Youth Venture Investment Holdings (hereafter KAIST Venture Investment) announced on the 28th that it had conducted a pre-seed investment of 1 billion won in Podonos (CEO Bae Soo-hyun), a voice AI analysis service company, in cooperation with Serac Ventures of the United States. Podonos is a startup that has been attracting attention in the AI analysis solution market since its establishment in February of last year.

Podonos possesses a technology that innovatively shortens the analysis and data collection work for improving AI model performance. Previously, it took about two months to evaluate AI model performance and derive results for languages around the world, but Podonos’ service provides analysis result reports in just 12 hours. Through this, AI model developers can not only significantly reduce the time and cost required for analysis and evaluation, but also dramatically increase the speed of AI model performance improvement.

Podonos's voice AI analysis solution is already capable of evaluating in multiple languages, helping global AI developers verify model performance in more sophisticated and diverse environments. In the future, Podonos plans to expand its services beyond voice evaluation to include image AI and LLM (large-scale language model) evaluation. In particular, it is expected to make a significant contribution to improving the performance of AI agents, and is heralding an innovative change in the entire AI evaluation field.

KAIST Venture Investment Director Ahn Jun-hyun said, “Podonos’ solution can solve core problems in the market based on the company’s unique evaluation environment control and quality assessment automation technology in the analysis and evaluation area of voice AI models, which were not easily accessible in the past.” He added, “It will be highly competitive in the global market by targeting the voice field, which will become even more important in the future era of AI agents.”

Podonos CEO Bae Soo-hyun said, “As AI technology advances, the importance of technology that can analyze its performance and reliability is also increasing,” and “Through this investment, we will not only advance our technology, but also expand our services to various AI fields, and establish ourselves as a competitive company in the global market.” He added, “We will provide efficient AI evaluation solutions to help developers and researchers focus more on core development.”

With this investment, Podonos plans to fully pursue service advancement and market expansion.
