Crit Ventures Invests 1.5 Billion Won in Oneself World, Operator of 'Mybee'

Crit Ventures (CEO Song Jae-jun) announced on the 13th that it invested 1.5 billion won in Oneself World (CEO Cho Chang-hyun), which operates 'Mybee', a digital marketing platform based on hyper-personalized identifiers. Oneself World is currently conducting a pre-Series A round.

This investment was executed by YoungFrontOne Crit Metaverse Fund, which has invested in Buffett Seoul, Doctor Now, BuildBlock, Finders AI, and BioResearch AI.

Mybee, developed and operated by Oneself World, analyzes users’ preferences to provide easy and simple customized quizzes and rewards, and connects advertisers with efficient target marketing that overcomes the limitations of existing advertising identifiers. In particular, it is characterized by the fact that it allows precise targeting of iPhone users, and has surpassed 700,000 subscribers in just 9 months since its launch in April of last year.

Mybee is a differentiated service that provides rewards along with the fun element of quizzes based on consumer tastes, rather than the mainstream pedometers or challenge forms of existing app tech. Users can earn 'taste badges' by solving various quizzes added every week, and can exchange them for various real products such as gift certificates and gold within the app.

In addition, Oneself World holds a domestic patent for hyper-personalized advertisement identification technology that fundamentally solves personal information protection by giving users ownership of advertisement attribute information in targeted advertisements to protect Mybee's customer information.

“With this investment, we will enhance our machine learning-based personalized recommendation engine and enhance our quiz events by introducing AI agents,” said Cho Chang-hyun, CEO of Oneself World. “We are also preparing to expand our ad network business so that Oneself World’s unique identification technology can be utilized in other mobile media.”

Song Jae-jun, CEO of Crit Ventures, said, “Oneself World will bring about innovation in the market through customized customer services that incorporate AI technology in the ad tech field,” and added, “We expect that in the future, the company will quickly secure competitiveness in the global market based on its unique technology beyond the domestic market.”

Crit Ventures operates six funds with a total AUM (assets under management) of KRW 260 billion, with investments from leading overseas companies such as Supercell, Ubisoft, and NetEase, as well as policy funds such as Korea Mother Fund, Growth Finance, and the Industrial Bank of Korea.
