Gyeongnam Province announced that it will implement the '2025 Gyeongnam Venture Company Certification Acquisition Support Project' to revitalize the venture company ecosystem and strengthen the competitiveness of promising companies in the province.
This business is a project in which experts (15 people) in each type of venture business provide 1:1 customized consulting on documents required for venture business certification, such as application for certification, financial statements, and technical data.
This year, we plan to support 85 new applications or renewals for venture business certification.
In order to resolve the difficulties faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in meeting qualifications and preparing application documents for venture company certification following the reorganization of the venture company verification system in 2021, the province launched a venture company certification acquisition support project in 2023, and as a result, 59 companies in 2023 and 63 companies in 2024 obtained certification.
If you are certified as a venture business, you can receive various benefits from the government and financial institutions, including tax benefits, finance, and government support.
This project, which is being carried out in collaboration with the Gyeongnam Venture Business Association, can be applied for through the association’s website (online) or by visiting the association’s office. Gyeongnam Province Startup Support Division Director Kang Du-sun said, “Many companies are having difficulties starting or managing venture businesses due to the worsening domestic and international economic conditions. I hope that this project will provide practical help in enhancing the competitiveness of venture businesses in the province.” He added, “We are operating a tight support system, such as operating investment funds and establishing regional startup hubs, to support the growth of startups and venture businesses.”
