Vision AI specialized company See You Box (CEO Nam Woon-seong) is changing its name to ‘SECERN AI (hereinafter referred to as See You AI)’.
The company announced that it had decided to change its corporate name through the regular shareholders' meeting held at its headquarters on the 26th, and its strategy is to reestablish the corporate identity with the new name 'Siseon AI' and expand and strengthen its business based on AI (artificial intelligence) image recognition technology.
A representative of Siseon AI explained, “The word ‘secern’ used in the new mission means ‘to identify, to differentiate,’ and implies the expertise and competitiveness of our core technology, AI-based image recognition technology,” adding, “We also included the meaning of ‘seeing (視)’ through the Korean Sino-Korean character ‘시선’.”
In addition, Siseon AI added new business objectives such as AI-based imaging diagnosis medical solutions and medical device development through this general shareholders meeting. It is a plan to enter the AI medical and bio market as part of a strategy to diversify the scope of application of AI image recognition technology and create a new growth engine for the company.
The company appointed Director Oh Jeong-wan (Vice President) to foster the new AI medical and bio business. Vice President Oh is determined to lead Siseon AI’s AI imaging diagnosis medical solution and medical device business, explore various business opportunities, and increase the company’s competitiveness and corporate value. Vice President Oh has served as a researcher at the Department of Plastic Surgery at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, a researcher at the POSTECH Biotechnology Research Institute, a director at Furimed, a bio venture specializing in new drug development, and CEO of Motega Innovative.
Based on its independently developed AI-based image recognition core technology, Sight AI is developing a solution that analyzes vital signs such as heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation of the human body to predict cardiac arrest or detect and notify of danger signs in patients with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It also plans to fully launch research and development and commercialization of AI imaging diagnosis medical solutions and AI imaging diagnosis medical devices in partnership with large domestic hospitals and overseas multinational medical device companies.
With this, the company expects to be able to lay the foundation for the company to leap forward by diversifying its business and creating synergy across fields centered on these three portfolios: ▲ existing main AI image recognition security solution/system business ▲ AI manufacturing/logistics robot business through subsidiary Yuon Robotics ▲ strategic new business AI medical/bio business.
Nam Woon-seong, CEO of Sisun AI, emphasized, “Through this company name change, we will revitalize the company while also strengthening our existing core businesses and quickly fostering new businesses, thereby maximizing the company’s brand value and performance.”
