Sandbox Network Signs Business Agreement with Maeil Kyungjae TV

Sandbox Network (CEO Pil-seong Lee, Byeong-gon Cha, hereinafter referred to as Sandbox), a leading domestic digital entertainment company, and Maeil Kyungjae TV signed a business agreement (MOU) on the 25th for mutual cooperation in the fields of content, advertising, commerce, and specialized fields.

This agreement was pursued to maximize the media and brand value of both companies and to promote mutual development through cooperation in various fields. Through this agreement, Sandbox expects to expand its business area through cooperation with legacy media, and Maeil Kyungjae TV is expected to serve as an important stepping stone for strengthening its position in the digital media market.

Sandbox is a leading digital entertainment company that has pioneered and led the domestic MCN market. Since its establishment in 2015, the company has focused on various business areas such as creator management, intellectual property (IP) business, and digital content production.

In addition, Sandbox has recently launched a powerful media branding product, the 'Sandbox Media Advertisement' product, which provides marketing insights that allow users to freely select YouTube in-stream advertisement accounts and exclusive advertisement segment functions, and is gaining more attention. By combining the 'Sandbox Media Advertisement' product with Maeil Kyungjae TV's existing advertisement products to develop a new form of advertisement product, we plan to provide advertisers with more effective solutions.

Regarding the signing of this business agreement, Lee Pil-seong, CEO of Sandbox, said, “Although new media companies and traditional media outlets are at different points, we have confirmed that they have something in common: they are struggling with the same issues of adapting and developing in the new media environment. We will work together to create synergy.”

Jeong In-cheol, CEO of Maeil Kyungjae TV, expressed his expectations, saying, “I think it is difficult for traditional broadcasting to overcome the huge change called digital on its own. I will try to combine the DNA of Sandbox, which is leading change and innovation, to create a successful business model.”
