Pluto provides 'AI interpretation and translation system' to Shinsegae Department Store main branch

On the 24th, Pluto announced that it had provided the next-generation AI translation system with RAG (Augmented Search Generation) technology to the main branch of Shinsegae Department Store. The solution introduced this time is 'Chat Translation Enterprise', which supports up to 38 languages through a 30-inch transparent display, and guidance content is displayed on the screen in real time according to the language of the foreign customer.

This solution was installed in the lounge on the first floor of the new building to improve accessibility for foreign customers in line with the remodeling of the Shinsegae Department Store main branch. By incorporating RAG technology, it has become possible to quickly and accurately process guidance needed for shopping, such as on each floor’s stores and convenience facilities. This is expected to reduce waiting times caused by repetitive inquiries when responding to customers, and increase the efficiency and satisfaction of foreign customer service.

In addition, 'Chat Translation', an AI translation solution that enables real-time multilingual communication through smartphone QR code scanning, has been introduced to efficiently guide foreign customers. This solution will support in-store staff to simultaneously serve multiple foreign customers, and will be piloted in five stores where multilingual service is difficult.
