The 'DGB Financial Group X Seoul Fintech Lab' Financial Open Innovation Meetup Day held at Seoul Fintech Lab has concluded. This event aimed to achieve technological innovation and increased efficiency through collaboration between financial institutions and fintech companies, and expectations are rising for the possibility of future collaboration.

DGB Financial Group provides opportunities to strengthen partnerships between its digital divisions (iM Bank, iM Securities, iM Life, iM Capital) and fintech companies, and presents specific acceleration programs to promote financial technology innovation and help participating companies grow. This meetup day opened up opportunities for participating startups to collaborate with DGB Financial Group, and full-scale collaboration is scheduled to begin in April.

This Open Innovation Meetup Day attracted a lot of attention as an event that provided opportunities for collaboration with DGB Financial Group. DGB Financial Group plans to collaborate with startups selected by the digital innovation departments of iM Bank, iM Securities, iM Life, and iM Capital, and through this, it plans to create opportunities to leap into a larger market through business partnerships such as new service launches and PoC (Proof of Concept).

In particular, startups linked to DGB Financial Group's Pium Lab program were able to receive acceleration and establish a foundation for faster growth. This collaboration model is expected to begin in earnest after April, and positive results from startups are expected. If this collaboration is successful, it is expected that the collaboration model with DGB Financial Group will likely spread to other financial institutions.

The startups that participated in this meetup day will collaborate with DGB Financial Group through their own innovative technologies. The startups selected by each department are ▲iM Bank (Digital Marketing Department): Uncommon Lab, Crosshub, Piper Republic, Lemon Tree, Naie & Company ▲iM Securities (Digital Solutions Department): Happy Block, Whatsup, Stockkeeper ▲iM Life (Sales Strategy Department): Gaji Lab, Doctorpresso, Lemon Tree, Quantum AI, Beapee ▲iM Capital (Digital Innovation Department): Korea Legal Data, Finhai, Antalk, Crosshub, Next Bank ▲DGB Financial Group: Softlanders.

These startups each possess innovative payment services, AI-based risk management and asset management, and InsurTech technologies that enable collaboration with life insurance companies, and are expected to demonstrate even stronger technological prowess through collaboration with DGB Financial Group.

Kim Hyun-jun, head of Open Innovation at Seoul Fintech Lab, said, “Through this collaboration, we will be able to provide innovative financial services by combining the technological prowess of fintech startups with DGB Financial Group’s financial services,” adding, “We expect even greater results in the financial market through this type of collaboration model.”
