The EU Business Hub program successfully concluded the ‘Healthcare and Medical Equipment Korea 2025’ exhibition and consultation session.
Healthcare∙Medical Device Korea 2025, held from the 19th to the 21st, was held to provide a venue for European SMEs and startups in the healthcare and medical device sectors and domestic companies to explore global business opportunities and build partnerships. European companies with cutting-edge healthcare and medical device solutions visited Seoul to introduce innovative technological capabilities in various fields such as assistive technology, telemedicine, medical devices, regenerative medicine, healthcare AI, and ICT.
Through this exhibition consultation, participating companies explored each other's technologies, solutions, and products, discussed collaboration possibilities through 'B2B matchmaking meetings', and sought opportunities for business expansion. The EU Business Hub program also provided professional interpretation services to help smooth communication during the meetings.
Another highlight of the exhibition was the 'Business Networking Reception' hosted by the EU Delegation to Korea, where European and Korean companies had a chance to exchange and share diverse opinions on technological innovation in a comfortable atmosphere.
A Korean entrepreneur who participated in the Healthcare∙Medical Device Korea 2025 exhibition and consultation said, “It was a meaningful time to meet with European healthcare and medical device companies with excellent technological prowess and learn about various ideas, strategies, and products,” adding, “It was especially meaningful to be able to confirm the possibility of future cooperation through 1:1 meetings, and I would like to continue to participate in such opportunities in the future.”
Additionally, the EU Business Hub Program visited the 40th Korea International Medical Device & Hospital Equipment Show (KIMES 2025) held at COEX in Seoul from March 20 to 23, providing participating companies with an opportunity to network with a wider range of domestic companies and explore the latest medical technologies and products.
Meanwhile, the next exhibition consultation, 'Green and Low-Carbon Technologies Korea 2025', is scheduled to be held from June 9 to 13, and the main areas of focus are clean energy technology, energy systems, circular economy, environment and climate change mitigation technology and solutions.
“This was an opportunity for European companies to showcase their cutting-edge healthcare and medical technologies and raise awareness in the Korean market,” said Tanith Bello, Programme Officer at the EU Delegation to Korea. “There was a lot of interest from Korean hospitals, institutions, associations and other stakeholders.”
