Afreeca (CEO Kang Seon-geun) , an AI and cloud native platform specialized company, announced on the 20th that as a result of continuous research and development to strengthen the competitiveness of cloud and AI technologies, it has applied for a total of 8 patents and completed the registration of 6 of them. Through this patent registration, Afreeca is evaluated to have established a leading position in automated service operation and resource optimization technology in cloud and AI environments.
In order to achieve technological differentiation in the cloud and AI fields, Africa has been conducting research focusing on multi-cloud environments and software execution optimization technologies. Recently registered patents are related to Africa's cloud native platform, Serengeti, and include technologies for optimizing resources in a multi-cloud environment, a structure that supports heterogeneous development language execution, a development environment that automates protocol buffer execution, and technologies for dynamically controlling heterogeneous cloud environments. In particular, the technology for managing the execution of cloud services in transaction units enables stable service operation, and the technology patent for providing optimized resource control functions in heterogeneous cloud environments to maximize operational efficiency can be said to be recognition of the differentiated technological prowess of Serengeti products.
In addition, Africa has been further strengthening the differentiation of AI and cloud-based technologies through continuous technology development since registering a patent related to the artificial intelligence development platform Cheetah in 2020. It is expected that the registration of the technology for integrated management of heterogeneous cloud resources and software execution modules, which is currently under review, and the technology for managing the life cycle of cloud services will be completed, which will be an opportunity to be recognized for its unique technology for service management in a cloud environment.
Recently, as AI and cloud transitions are accelerating, companies are focusing on securing automation technologies for stable and efficient service operations. Accordingly, Africa is continuously developing technologies for stable 24-hour cloud operations and is further strengthening research to expand multi-cloud and AI-based services.
“As cloud and AI technologies are rapidly developing, a higher level of automation and flexibility is required in corporate environments,” said Taehyun Ji, CTO of Africa. “Through this patent registration, we have established a foundation for integrating and automating heterogeneous technologies even in multi-cloud environments. In particular, the key functions of Serengeti products, such as cloud resource optimization and transaction-based execution management, play a key role in enhancing the stability of services.”
He also emphasized, “The results of this research will contribute to more efficient deployment and operation of AI models in a cloud-native environment,” and “We will continue to develop technologies so that companies can more easily manage complex cloud environments and operate AI-based services smoothly.”
