
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “KIBO”) announced on the 19th that it had established a Mapo branch and held an opening ceremony to strengthen technology financing support for small and medium-sized venture companies in the northwestern part of Seoul. The event was attended by KIBO Chairman Kim Jong-ho, Mapo-gu Mayor Park Kang-soo, Seoul SMEs and Startups Administration Director Lee Byeong-gwon, Innobiz Association Chairman Jeong Gwang-cheon, financial institution headquarters directors, and about 50 local businesspeople.
The Mapo branch is located in Seoul Digital Media City, and this area is the center of the IT and media industry, where broadcasting companies, media companies, and cultural content production companies are concentrated. In addition, there are many startups and IT-based technology companies, and it has excellent transportation networks and startup infrastructure, so the attraction of advanced technology companies is expanding. Through the opening of this Mapo branch, Kibo plans to resolve the inconveniences of small and medium-sized venture companies in the northwestern part of Seoul, improve customer accessibility, discover excellent venture and startup companies, and respond quickly to the policy financing needs of small and medium-sized venture companies.
