Devdi Co., Ltd. announced on the 20th that it has been finally selected as a 2025 incubation company for Woori Financial Group's startup incubation program 'DINNO Lab'. Through this selection, Devdi will receive various benefits such as provision of office space, support for attracting investment, and opportunities for collaboration with Woori Financial Group, and is expected to strengthen its position in the housing finance innovation ecosystem.
Devdi is providing a PaaS solution that allows monthly rent to be paid with a credit card through the 'Zipup Pay' service, which was officially launched in December 2024. It has strengthened service stability, implemented the industry's lowest commission of up to 2.3%, and greatly improved user convenience. The 'Zipup' app is currently being used by over 30,000 users, and in addition to the monthly rent payment function, it is developing into a comprehensive housing management platform that encompasses moving and monthly rent payments.
CEO Kim Ki-tae said, “With the selection of Dino Lab as an opportunity, we will continue to innovate the domestic housing finance market and develop comprehensive housing finance solutions that increase housing stability and improve financial accessibility for young people.”
Devdi has been recognized for its technological prowess and business viability through its excellent graduation from the Youth Entrepreneurship Academy hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and has strengthened its service competitiveness through strategic partnerships with the financial sector. Following the agreement with Hana Bank last year, the selection of Dino Lab this time signifies the diversification of the fintech and financial cooperation model. Devdi plans to accelerate the technological innovation of housing finance solutions and strengthen its global competitiveness through the financial institution-blockchain linkage project being promoted by Woori Financial Group and the startup-specialized financial support program.
In addition, Devdi was recently recognized for its innovation by winning the Minister of Public Administration and Security Award in the specialized space category at the '2024 Korea Urban and Regional Innovation Industry Expo'. The 'Zipup Pay' service is evaluated as an optimized solution for the monthly rent market, which is rapidly growing due to the increase in single-person households and the youth population.
CEO Kim Ki-tae stated, “Our goal is to create a unicorn company that can advance globally,” which is in line with Woori Financial Group’s Dino Lab vision of ‘nurturing unicorn companies with global competitiveness.’ The combination of Dino Lab’s financial infrastructure and DevD’s innovative housing solutions is expected to present a new paradigm in the domestic housing finance market.
