Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Hyundai Livart and Small Business Mutual Growth Meeting Held

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups) announced on the 19th that it visited Hyundai Livart, which is engaged in win-win cooperation activities with small business owners, and held a meeting with small business owners who have entered the Livart online mall.

The meeting on this day was held to encourage voluntary cooperation by visiting Hyundai Livart, which is supporting sales channels for small craftsmen who make handmade furniture and handicrafts by utilizing its own mall, and to hear opinions from the field to activate collaboration between large corporations and small craftsmen.

Hyundai Livart operates a workshop platform for small businesses on its online mall, and currently has 16 small furniture manufacturers on site, where they display and sell their products. This is considered an example of voluntary, win-win cooperation between a large corporation and small businesses.

On this day, six small craftsmen selling handmade furniture and crafts from Hyundai Livart's online mall attended the meeting and shared their vivid voices from the field. Various discussions took place on ways to support small craftsmen, such as collaboration between large corporations and small craftsmen, opening up sales channels for small craftsmen, and automating manufacturing processes.

Minister Oh Young-joo said, “I believe that a sustainable, win-win cooperative relationship is formed when small businesses and large corporations complement each other, benefit from each other, and grow together, rather than through one-sided support from large corporations,” adding, “The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will also support the ‘joint growth’ of large corporations and small businesses through various policies included in the ‘Three-Year Comprehensive Plan for Small Businesses’ announced last December.”
