Hoffman Agency Acquires CC Group

Hoffman Agency, a global PR firm headquartered in Silicon Valley, is acquiring UK tech PR firm CCGroup to expand into the European market.

CC Group is a London-based B2B, tech PR and marketing specialist with digital marketing strengths in mobile and telecom, cybersecurity, fintech, enterprise and analyst relations. Hoffman Agency is a global leading tech storytelling specialist in hardware, semiconductors, quantum computing, AI, SaaS and data centres.

The acquisition does not create a conflict of interest between the two companies’ clients, and the two companies’ portfolios are complementary, so a solid business model is expected. In particular, Hoffman Agency, which also has a branch in London, will more than triple its business in the UK through this acquisition.

“During the acquisition discussions with CC Group, the cultural fit between the two companies, their shared beliefs and vision for integrated communications using digital, etc., came together and it felt like a natural fit,” said Lou Hoffman, founder and global CEO of Hoffman Agency. “We are increasingly being approached by not only tech companies but also non-tech global companies that want technology-centric storytelling.”

In addition, Hoffman Agency Korea Branch CEO Kwon Ki-jung said, “We will utilize CC Group’s vertical expertise in fintech, mobile communications, etc. to support our large corporations and startups to enter the UK and European markets more effectively.” Hoffman Agency Korea Branch has been carrying out global PR for Samsung Display, LG Ensol, SK Inc., Seegene, and Dorco.

Hoffman Agency has a particularly strong presence in multinational markets, with 31% of its total revenue currently coming from global client service, which involves collaboration between offices in two or more countries. This acquisition will further strengthen its global client support capabilities and infrastructure across multiple countries, particularly in the areas of corporate and crisis communications, brand and design, and employee communications for tech companies.
