WADIZ selected as '2025 Asia Pacific High Growth Company'

Funding store platform Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung) announced that it was selected as one of the Financial Times (FT)'s '2025 Asia Pacific High-Growth Companies'. This announcement marks the fourth year that Wadiz has been selected, following three consecutive years from 2020 to 2022.

The FT High Growth Companies Asia-Pacific 2025 is an annual ranking of 500 high-growth companies in 14 Asia-Pacific countries, conducted by the Financial Times and global research firm Statista. This is the 7th year for the list.

This year, the survey targeted companies with sales of more than $100,000 in 2020 and more than $1 million in 2023, and the top 500 were selected based on sales growth rate.

Wadiz ranked 45th in the fintech sector with a sales growth rate of 75.8% and an average annual growth rate of 20% from 2020 to 2023.

Wadiz started with crowdfunding and expanded its services to distribution areas such as pre-orders and stores, and is supporting 'makers' who are making changes in their daily lives through new challenges. The number of makers who start businesses or launch new products through Wadiz has steadily increased, and to date, it has brokered over 80,000 projects and successfully raised over 1.3 trillion won in funding.

In particular, last year, the average funding amount per time from supporters participating in funding exceeded 130,000 won, a 110% increase in 6 years, proving high growth potential as a platform.

As the funding scale increased rapidly, it achieved solid growth and improved profitability. Following its first monthly operating profit in November 2023, it achieved an EBITDA surplus in the second quarter and an operating profit surplus in the third quarter.

“For over 10 years, we have been building a funding ecosystem in Korea where small and medium-sized businesses can thrive and new brands can emerge,” said Wadiz CEO Shin Hye-sung. “To enable more dreamers to create new sales and opportunities, Wadiz is now looking beyond Korea and into the world.”

Meanwhile, Wadiz, which pioneered the domestic crowdfunding industry, is also accelerating its global expansion. It is currently recruiting global funding makers with the goal of launching the 'Wadiz Global Service' in May. Wadiz Global Service connects domestic makers (brands and companies) with overseas customers, helping makers and brands active in Wadiz to advance beyond the domestic market and into overseas markets.

Funding Makers will be able to easily and conveniently conduct global projects in the same way as they previously conducted funding and pre-order projects on Wadiz. Wadiz plans to release a web-based service in the first half of the year and sequentially introduce an app version.
