Rico participates in 'Food Solution Fair 2025'

RECO, which operates the business waste collection service 'Upbox', announced that it will participate in the 'Food Solution Fair 2025' held at the aT Center from the 19th to the 20th.

Upbox will present a customized waste collection service for contracted catering facilities and in-house restaurant nutritionists at this exhibition. As various catering facilities such as schools, hospitals, and companies generate large amounts of waste every day, a system that can efficiently handle this waste is essential.

Upbox provides a one-stop collection and processing service for food waste and waste cooking oil generated from cafeterias and catering facilities. In particular, it operates over 100 waste-specific vehicles and is characterized by reducing administrative burdens such as easy registration of handover documents through automatic linkage with the system. Upbox currently has over 5,000 corporate customers, including the top 5 domestic catering brands, and provides stable waste management solutions to large businesses including catering facilities.

“Waste management is not simply ‘processing,’ but is now positioned as a critical factor that determines a company’s sustainability and competitiveness,” said Kim Geun-ho, CEO of Ricoh. “I hope that this expo will serve as an opportunity for companies to reduce their waste burden and seek more eco-friendly processing methods.”
