
Early-stage investment firm The Ventures announced on the 18th that it has led a $1 million (approximately KRW 1.3 billion) investment round for Filum AI, an AI-based customer experience management (CXM) platform. The Ventures participated as a lead investor in this round, and several strategic investors, including VinVentures, joined to support the growth potential of Filum AI.
Vietnam’s AI market is growing rapidly, and customer experience (CX) innovation is emerging as a key element to enhance corporate competitiveness. AI-based automation and customized customer response technology are now essential strategies in the global market, and AI-based CXM solutions are accelerating the digital transformation of companies. Through this investment, The Ventures plans to strengthen Philum AI’s technological prowess and market scalability, and support the expansion of AI adoption in the Southeast Asian CXM market.
This investment was participated by a number of strategic investors, including VinVentures, an investment fund under the Vietnamese company Vingroup, NextTrans, MOG founder Truong Anh Dung, and Got It founder Hung Chan. In addition to The Ventures, major Vietnamese companies and investors also joined in, raising expectations for the growth potential of Philum AI. VinVentures is a fund with influence across Vietnam’s major industries, including real estate, distribution, automobiles, and healthcare, which has increased the possibility that Philum AI’s technology will be widely utilized in the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian markets.
Philum AI is a startup founded in 2020 by AI and digital experts from Silicon Valley and Vietnam, providing AI-based solutions that transform the customer experience of companies. Philum AI has technologies that optimize the entire CX, including AI-based personalized interaction, customer journey analysis and automation, and customer response through AI agents. Through this, it helps companies increase operational efficiency and maximize customer satisfaction. Currently, Philum AI's solutions are widely used by many large companies in the retail, finance, and service sectors, and are contributing to improving key CX indicators such as CSAT (Customer Satisfaction), NPS (Net Promoter Score), and CES (Customer Effort Index).
Truong Van Bien, CEO of Filum AI, is a serial entrepreneur who co-founded Base.vn, a leading SaaS company in Vietnam, which was sold to FPT, the largest IT company in Vietnam, in 2021. He is an expert with experience in digital transformation and business innovation using AI technologies. “AI is not just an automation tool, but a core strategic element for sustainable growth of a company,” he said. “By 2025, Filum AI plans to advance AI agent technology to increase operational efficiency, further personalize customer experiences, and maximize cost savings.” He added, “With this investment, we will leap forward as a leading CXM platform in the Southeast Asian market beyond Vietnam.”
