Igus Korea (CEO Chang-won Yoon) announced that it will participate in KIMES 2025, which will be held at COEX in Seoul for four days from the 20th to the 23rd. At this exhibition, Igus Korea will introduce innovative lubrication-free bearings, cables, and chain solutions to improve the durability of medical equipment and reduce maintenance costs.
KIMES 2025 is a global knowledge sharing platform where medical experts gather in one place, and it is an event where you can see the latest technologies and trends in the medical industry at a glance.
At this exhibition, igus Korea will present lubrication-free high-performance polymer bearings that can be used in medical environments where cleanliness and hygiene are important, chainflex® cables with high reliability and excellent chemical resistance, and energy chain systems that support precise and smooth motion. In particular, lubrication-free bearings can be used for long periods of time without lubrication, which reduces maintenance burden and the possibility of contamination in medical devices such as MRI, CT scanners, and surgical robots. In addition, chainflex cables ensure stable signal and power transmission even in strict medical environments, maximizing the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
During the exhibition period, igus Korea will operate a demo zone where visitors can experience various products firsthand, and will be able to see igus solutions applied to actual equipment and receive customized consultations with experts.
“We look forward to introducing lubrication-free and low-friction solutions optimized for the needs of the medical industry at KIMES 2025,” said Kim Sung-woo, Director of igus Korea. “We will support medical device manufacturers to increase their competitiveness through motion plastics technology that takes sustainability and efficiency into account.”
