Virtu Company Signs Official Agreement with Japan Cargo Pass

Bicycle lifestyle startup Virtucompany (CEO Junyong Yoon) has signed an official contract with Japan's airport baggage service company CARGO-PASS and will operate the 'Roundel Green Pack Service' at Fukuoka Airport starting on the 20th.

Through this agreement, cyclists using Fukuoka Airport will be able to conveniently rent and return bicycle cases for air transport developed by Virtu Company, and it is expected that the bicycle travel infrastructure in Japan will be further strengthened.

This contract was made possible through the active cooperation of the Fukuoka Prefecture Tourism Federation. The Fukuoka Prefecture Tourism Federation is focusing on attracting overseas tourists as well as activating eco-friendly cycling tourism, and expects this contract to further promote exchanges between cyclists from both Korea and Japan.

Yosuke Okawauchi, Special Manager of the Fukuoka Prefecture Tourism Federation, said, “Through this collaboration, cyclists from both Korea and Japan can travel by bicycle more conveniently. This is also in line with the goal of the ‘FUKUOKA Cycling Tour Concierge’ project promoted by Fukuoka Prefecture.” He added, “Through the collaboration between Virtucompany and Cargopass, we hope to create an environment where cyclists from Korea and Japan can naturally travel between each other’s countries.”

With this contract as an opportunity, Virtu Company plans to fully expand its services in the Japanese market. Starting with Fukuoka Airport, it plans to expand its services to Matsuyama, Naha (Okinawa), and Chitose (Hokkaido) airports by 2025, and launch services targeting Japanese people in 2026, with the goal of establishing a Japanese corporation.

CEO Yoon Jun-yong said, “This agreement is not simply about attracting tourists, but is the first step toward exchange that will help cyclists from both Korea and Japan visit each other’s countries more easily.” He added, “Birtu Company aims to build a cycling network connecting Korea and Japan and contribute to the development of the tourism industries in both countries.”
