
On March 12, 2025, travel tech company Tidesquare and edutech and AI agent development startup LiveData announced that they signed a business agreement (MOU) for the development of a 'Travel AI Agent'. Through this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly develop 'Travel AI Agent' technology by combining their technologies and services, and promote service commercialization, new business model discovery, project cooperation, and marketing activities.
The jointly developed 'Travel AI Agent' is an intelligent software that supports users' travel plans more smartly. It will design the optimal travel itinerary with just a few keyword inputs and provide customized services such as airline ticket price analysis, accommodation information, real-time plan adjustment, and schedule sharing with companions.
Tidesquare is a leading travel tech company that has applied the next-generation aviation platform 'NDC (New Distribution Capability)' and has a strong data network that is linked with global airlines and hotel groups through API. With this collaboration, the travel AI Agent will provide detailed information, prices, reviews, etc. on travel products around the world in real time and support travel data so that users can quickly and systematically derive the results they want.
LiveData plans to strengthen the development of large-scale language models (LLM) and AI Agent tools based on its experience in advancing AI Tutor and sLLM (Specialized Large Language Model) technologies. Through this, it will secure technology that can systematically analyze massive travel data.
After developing and commercializing the 'Travel AI Agent', the two companies plan to apply the AI Agent to Tidesquare's own travel platforms, 'PRIVIA Travel' and 'Tourvis', to help customers establish more efficient and satisfactory travel plans. Through this, they plan to expand various services, such as real-time product and price comparison and efficient schedule changes.
Park Soo-jung, CEO of LiveData, said, “Through our collaboration with Tidesquare, we expect to rapidly expand AI Agents by combining AI technology with companies that have content and data,” and announced plans to promote the use of AI Agents by developing an AI Agent store based on various content, including travel.
