Jeju Creative Economy Innovation Center (CEO Lee Byeong-seon, hereinafter referred to as Jeju Center) announced that childcare companies Betstem Solution (CEO Ku Min) and Peter Peter (CEO Park Jun-ho) will hold a coexistence seminar for companion animals on the 18th.
Bestem Solution and Peter Peter have prepared a place to share the latest research and clinical application cases of stem cell treatment, which is attracting attention in the field of companion animal medicine. The '1st Jeju Open Seminar: Stem Cell Treatment, New Paradigm of Companion Animal Medicine' hosted by Bestem Solution will be held at 2 PM on the 18th at the Jeju Venture Maru 3rd floor Track Room.
This seminar is planned to highlight new possibilities in companion animal treatment and share cases of stem cell treatment applied in actual clinical practice. Experts will directly explain how stem cell and immune cell treatment bring changes to the lives of companion animals and how they are currently being used in medical settings. This seminar will be explained in an easy-to-understand manner so that not only veterinarians but also guardians can listen to it, and there will also be a Q&A session where companion animal guardians can directly ask questions to the experts.
Starting with a lecture by Jeju National University Professor Shin Tae-hoon on the topic of 'Stem Cell Fundamentals and Treatment Mechanisms', Jeju National University Professor Song Woo-jin will introduce stem cell treatment applications for chronic kidney disease (CKD) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and Konkuk University KU Animal Stem Cell Treatment Center Professor Kim Eui-jin will introduce stem cell treatment applications for osteoarthritis (OA), intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), and feline chronic gingivostomatitis (FCGS).
In Part 2, CEO Park Jun-ho of Peter Peter Co., Ltd. will give a lecture on the necessity of genetic testing and aging diagnosis, and CEO Gu Min of Bestem Solution Co., Ltd. will present multipurpose anti-aging treatment using stem cells and Jeju-style advanced regenerative medicine.
This seminar will lay the groundwork for introducing and activating stem cell technology for the treatment and prevention of companion animal diseases in Jeju. If stem cell treatment is applied to Jeju animal hospitals, it is expected to provide innovative treatment methods and serve as an opportunity to promote the growth of the companion animal medical industry by linking with the existing companion animal industry.
Meanwhile, Jeju Center registered as a childcare company and discovered the potential of Betstem Solution’s companion animal stem cell technology research last year. Peter Peter was discovered by Jeju Center as a 2020 preparatory startup package program and supported with a space for moving in and an accelerating program. The two companies are continuously expanding their research and healthcare business utilizing biometric data through collaboration in the companion animal industry.
