Pozalabs and Applause announced on March 13, 2025 that they signed a business agreement (MOU) to develop a spatial music curation service using AI-generated sound sources.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly develop new products by combining Pozalabs' AI sound source generation technology with Applause's spatial music curation platform, expand the scope of AI sound source utilization, and advance into the global market.
AI music technology is developing with the goal of providing music tailored to space, environment, and user experience. When Pozalabs' generative music technology and Applause's AI curation system are combined, a next-generation music solution that generates and provides personalized music for each space can be implemented.
This collaboration is expected to provide customized music experiences in various spaces such as retail, hotels, apartments, and automobiles, and contribute to increasing the value of space and sound sources. Poza Labs will provide the optimal sound experience based on AI-generated music, and Applause will collect and analyze data by space to create customized playlists.
PozaLabs is an AI music startup that trains AI models with its own music data to generate music without plagiarism or copyright issues. It has attracted Series A investment from CJ ENM. Major projects include the production of Samsung Life Insurance advertisement music, Dunkin’s 30th anniversary campaign, and Lotte World parade music.
Applause provides music solutions that can create the optimal atmosphere for each space, and has the technology to create and provide customized playlists using unique data and real-time data for each space. Through this, it provides optimized music solutions for each brand, and collaborates with various clients such as Hyundai Motor Company, Hanwha Hotels & Resorts, Terrarosa, and E-Land Eats.
Pozalabs CEO Heo Won-gil said, “This agreement will be an important turning point for AI-generated music to go beyond simple background music and establish itself as a customized sound solution optimized for space and environment.” He added, “The combination of Pozalabs’ AI music generation technology and Applause’s spatial music curation technology will allow us to provide a more sophisticated and immersive music experience.”
