Schneider Electric (Korea Branch Representative Jiwoong Kwon), a global company leading the digital transformation in energy management and automation, showcased automation and digital transformation solutions for sustainable manufacturing innovation at the 2025 Smart Factory+Automation World.
Schneider Electric, which celebrates its 50th anniversary since its establishment of its Korean branch this year, highlighted the legacy technologies it has accumulated over the past half century and the innovative automation and digital transformation solutions that will lead the next 50 years, while presenting a new vision for the sustainability of future manufacturing. Under the main theme of this exhibition, ‘50 Years of Innovation: A Sustainable IMPACT for Smart Factory’, it showcased various smart manufacturing technologies that strengthen collaboration between people and equipment and improve energy efficiency.
At this exhibition, Schneider Electric introduced the MC12 Machine & Lexium Cobot, a robotic automation solution that can maximize the flexibility of the manufacturing environment, as well as the Altivar Process Modular (APM), a customized high-power drive solution that can withstand extreme environments.
In addition, the Industrial Automation Integrated Solution, which can be organically applied to core industries such as batteries, semiconductors, automobiles, and displays, and the 'New Advanced HMI GP6000 Series', a next-generation high-performance HMI product that increases efficiency in manufacturing sites, were also exhibited.
Along with this, the company also introduced 'Smart Panel', a smart power management system for maximizing energy efficiency, and 'ESX Rotating', a motor status-based monitoring solution based on motor current signal analysis (MCSA), and revealed various automation technologies for more stable and efficient factory operation.
Schneider Electric is also supporting digital transformation across asset operations, including the business of industrial companies, in collaboration with global industrial software company AVEVA. At this exhibition, the AVEVA PI System, which can build real-time data infrastructure from the edge to the cloud, and the AVEVA InTouch HMI and AVEVA Unified Operations Center, which are integrated operation platforms and open operation solutions for building automation systems, were also introduced.
Through this exhibition, Schneider Electric emphasized how automation solutions that incorporate the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and data analysis can increase energy efficiency and reduce operating costs in manufacturing sites. In particular, it introduced solutions that can simultaneously achieve the two goals of energy saving and productivity improvement, and presented strategies for building a sustainable manufacturing environment.
Schneider Electric Korea CEO Kwon Ji-woong said, “Based on the technological prowess and experience accumulated over 50 years, Schneider Electric will continue to create a more sustainable industrial environment together with our customers and partners,” adding, “We will actively support companies to achieve their ESG goals through innovative solutions for smart factories.”
