Portal 301 participates in 'AW 2025'

AI robotics specialist Portal301 announced that it will participate in 'AW 2025 (Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition)' held at COEX in Seoul from March 12th to 14th and unveil its vision AI-based automation solution.

At this exhibition, Portal301 will collaborate with Universal Robots, a global leader in collaborative robots, to demonstrate precision powder spraying and sanding processes using the AI robot software solution 'SyncRo' at the Universal Robots booth.

Portal301 is developing a solution that maximizes productivity while maintaining the precision of highly skilled workers by applying AI-based robotics technology to manufacturing. This AW 2025 is expected to be an opportunity to directly see how the AI robot solution 'SyncRo' can revolutionize the quality of the automation process.

Portal301's core technology is an automated painting and polishing process that applies AI robotics. In the spraying (powder coating) process, Portal301's solution automatically compensates for the slight shaking of the subject using vision AI to maintain consistent quality, which is one of the most difficult tasks in the traditional painting process, and implements high-speed, high-precision powder coating. This enables quality at the level of highly skilled workers, and is expected to be an alternative to solving the problem of lack of skilled workers.

In the sanding process, maintaining uniformity of the sanding quality is key. Portal301’s AI solution inspects the sanding quality in real time through vision AI, automatically recognizes imperfect parts, and performs rework immediately. This allows for perfect surface finish quality while minimizing the defect rate.

Park Jang-jun, CEO of Portal 301, said, “Portal 301’s robot automation solution, SyncRo, can innovatively improve quality deviation problems that were difficult to solve in the existing manufacturing industry,” and added, “I hope you will experience the smart manufacturing technology that combines AI and collaborative robots for yourself at this AW 2025.”
