MathWorks to Hold 'MATLAB Expo 2025 Korea'

MATHWORKS, a developer of technical computing software, announced that it will hold 'MATLAB EXPO 2025 Korea' on April 8th at the COEX Grand Ballroom and ASEM Ballroom in Seoul. MATHWORKS EXPO is an annual event where customers and technical experts using MATHWORKS solutions gather to share the latest trends and success stories in science and engineering.

The keynote speeches for this year’s MATLAB Expo will be given by two experts. Byung-chan Jeong, CEO of Hanwha Robotics, will present on the topic of “Robots, Reinventing Daily Life and Industry with Innovation,” and Avi Nehemiah, General Manager of Design Automation Software at MathWorks, will speak on the topic of “Innovation Brought by Software-Defined Products.” In addition, 36 technical sessions will be held in six tracks: Algorithm Development and AI, Electrification, Model-Based Design, AI Application Engineering, Mobility, Wireless, and Satellite. Each session will present new MathWorks features and various customer success stories.

In particular, major domestic companies such as Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor Company, SK Telecom, and Korea Electric Power Research Institute will participate and introduce various technology application methods using MATLAB and Simulink. Samsung Electronics Senior Han Sang-min will present 'How to build an open wireless unit (RU) test platform using MATLAB', Hyundai Motor Company Global R&D Master Woo Min-soo and SK Telecom Manager Kim Jang-myeon will present 'Automobile performance prediction and analysis system' and 'Artificial Intelligence-based satellite communication optimization technology', respectively.

“MATLAB Expo has established itself as a representative event where domestic engineering systems engineers, scientists, researchers, and educators share technology trends and research results,” said Jongmin Lee, CEO of MathWorks Korea. “This event will be a meaningful opportunity to discover innovative research methods through MathWorks’ collaboration with leading global companies.”

This event will feature MathWorks partners including Vector Korea, InnoX, Widbear, MORAI, NI, BeckHoff, Altera, Popcorn, and PTC running technology demo booths, and attendees can visit nine demo booths where they can experience new features of MathWorks solutions firsthand. The demo booths will focus on introducing the latest technologies related to model-based design, AI, electrification, and wireless that can be applied to various industries.

In addition, a visualization and interaction-based engineering education session using MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape will be held for professors and instructors in the science and engineering fields at domestic universities. The session will introduce methods for providing various visualization and interaction experiences so that students can develop the ability to understand and design at the system level beyond engineering principles, and successful cases of introducing MathWorks solutions in actual educational settings will also be shared.
