Aerotech company ADRO (CEO Seunghyun Yoon) has begun to make a full-scale attack on the Japanese BMW aftermarket. It has accelerated its entry into the local market by signing a distribution contract with a famous Japanese BMW specialist and participating in the 'Tokyo Auto Salon 2025'.
Aidro announced on the 11th that it has signed a distribution contract for the Japanese region with Studie AG (CEO Yasuaki Suzuki), a leading player in the Japanese BMW tuning market. This contract was applied retroactively to January 1st based on the existing cooperative relationship between the two companies.
Studie AG is a leading company in the BMW customization field in Japan and also has a high reputation in the global BMW aftermarket. They specialize in high-performance modifications, aftermarket parts, and styling upgrades for BMW vehicles. They also have close partnerships with famous brands such as BMW M Performance, AC Schnitzer, and BBS.
With this agreement, Studie AG will secure exclusive sales rights for BMW in Japan and will actively carry out marketing and sales activities in the Japanese market. In particular, the two companies will discuss the latest products and market trends through quarterly strategy update meetings and engage in market development.
Based on this partnership, Aedro attracted attention by participating in the 'Tokyo Auto Salon 2025' held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan from January 10th to 12th. The event was the largest automobile customization exhibition in Asia, visited by approximately 260,000 people over three days, with 389 companies participating and exhibiting 857 vehicles.
Aidro made a strong impression at this exhibition by introducing the world’s first Porsche 992 GT3 Aero Kit and Toyota GR Supra Facelift Widebody Kit. In particular, the Porsche 992 GT3 Aero Kit boasts unrivaled performance that increases downforce by up to 30% while minimizing air resistance.
In addition, the BMW G82 M4 widebody kit, which was sold in limited quantities of 10 units worldwide, was exhibited, and a sneak peek of the BMW G87 M2 facelift kit was revealed, drawing the attention of visitors. In particular, the fact that the Toyota GR Supra widebody kit, which holds a symbolic position in Japanese car culture, was developed by a Korean company and unveiled at the Japanese exhibition served as an opportunity to prove Aedro’s technological prowess and design competitiveness. The attack on the Japanese BMW aftermarket market is expected to be an important turning point for Aedro to establish itself as a global high-end aero brand beyond Korea.
Aedro is an aero technology company that combines software and hardware to optimize the aerodynamic efficiency of vehicles. In November 2022, it released the world's first BMW G82 M4 facelift bumper, which caused a great stir overseas and in the BMW community. In 2024, it received a Series A investment of 5.4 billion won and won the $3 million export tower, and currently exports products to 22 countries, with 86% of its sales coming from overseas. Aedro aims to develop and produce complete in-house vehicles, starting with major parts such as body kits and bumpers in the future.
