Glassdom establishes European subsidiary

Glassdom , a company specializing in carbon emissions data management, announced on the 11th that it has established a European corporation in Munich, Germany and is making full-fledged entry into the European market.

Glassdom is a climate tech company that collects carbon data generated during the manufacturing process and provides one-stop monitoring and reporting to help companies respond to global environmental regulations. Glassdom, which established a European corporation following the US and Korea, plans to provide carbon management solutions to manufacturing companies in the automobile, battery, and electrical and electronic industries, in line with the strengthening of carbon regulations in Europe.

According to the EU Battery Regulation, carbon footprint data collection for electric vehicles and rechargeable industrial batteries is mandatory, and a digital battery passport will be introduced from 2027. Accordingly, automotive and battery suppliers must measure the carbon emissions data of their components and receive global certification. Glassdom provides a solution to manage and certify carbon emissions data that meets these requirements.

Glassdom's product carbon footprint solution comprehensively manages carbon emission data for companies with various types of machines and production lines, and has the advantage of reducing the time and cost required for global certification of carbon emission data by obtaining 'ISO 14067' verification.

In addition, the third-party certification service that links Glassdom's product carbon footprint solution and consulting is being used by major domestic companies such as Lotte Infracell, Joil Aluminum, SKIET, LG Electronics VS Division, Shinsung Autotech, and MEMC. In addition, in December 2024, it signed a partnership with Siemens in Germany and announced the results of product carbon footprint calculation and Catena-X data interoperability in the automotive sector by linking the supply chain.

Jin-ki Ham, CEO of Glassdome Korea, said, “Glassdome Europe will be a key base to support automobile, battery, and electrical and electronics manufacturing companies located in Europe to effectively respond to the strengthening EU carbon regulations,” and “We plan to provide an opportunity to provide benefits to manufacturing companies in Europe, where the regulations originate, using Glassdome’s proven technological prowess in Korea.”
