Korea Startup Forum (hereinafter referred to as KOSPO) announced on the 11th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Yesfuture, which operates the platform for international students, 'VIVISA', to discover local startup talent and activate the startup ecosystem.
Through this agreement, the two companies will jointly promote △support for matching global talents for regional startups, △operating cooperation and entrepreneurship education programs with regional universities, △discovering joint cooperation projects and establishing a startup support network. Through this, they plan to cooperate in supporting the growth and innovation of regional startups. The agreement ceremony was held at Maru 360 in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 5th, and Koo Tae-eon, Vice Chairman of COSPO, and Lee Hyeon-jae, CEO of Yes Future, attended and expressed their will to cooperate.
COSPO has been continuously supporting activities to expand the local startup ecosystem. In addition to the regional subcommittees newly established last year and the Southeastern Council, which started as the Busan Regional Council in 2016, it is expanding its nationwide network to Jeonbuk and Jeju, laying the foundation for startup growth. Yes Future is leading the way in global talent matching by connecting foreign students and startups through the 'VIVISA' platform.
Lee Hyeon-jae, CEO of Yesfuture, said, “Through this agreement, we will actively cooperate in discovering promising startup talents in the region and revitalizing the startup ecosystem,” adding, “We hope to be able to provide practical support to local entrepreneurs.”
Koo Tae-eon, Vice Chairman of Cospo, said, “We will do our best to combine the networks and capabilities of both companies to expand growth opportunities for local startups and lead to tangible results,” and “Cospo will fulfill its role to help startups grow beyond the region and into the global market.”
