Moin announced that it met with officials from the Luxembourg Embassy and financial institutions at its headquarters on March 6 to discuss cooperation in the European market. The meeting was attended by Moin CEO Seo Il-seok, COO Park Soo-young, CPO Seo Hong-seok, and Overseas Business Development Manager Koh Sun-woo, and from the Luxembourg side, Ambassador to Korea Jacques Flies, Luxembourg for Finance CEO Tom Théobald, Business Development Director Chris Hollifield, Deputy Trade and Investment Officer Thierry Santer, and Senior Investment Officer Rebecca Koo.
The discussion focused on Moin's overseas remittance network operating in the European market and its cooperation methods. Moin provides stable overseas remittance services in over 180 countries around the world, including major European countries such as the UK, Germany, France, Luxembourg, and Spain. Through this, it supports fast and cheap remittance infrastructure for international students, local residents, and business customers, and over 30,000 students from about 2,000 European universities receive discounts through international student certification. Based on this network, Moin is rapidly growing in the international student and expatriate market in Europe, and is showing rapid growth with a 476.7% increase in European marketing partner contracts in 2024 compared to 2023.
Moin also introduced a way to provide solutions directly to Luxembourg financial institutions and corporate customers through this meeting. Financial institutions and platform companies can use Moin’s services to provide efficient overseas remittance services to end customers, and Moin Bizplus’s receiving solution for corporate customers enables fast and economical fund remittance without technical integration. In addition, there are no receiving bank fees, so business operating costs can be reduced. About 20 companies around the world, including Japanese listed company Super Delivery, are already using Moin Bizplus to safely and inexpensively receive payments from customers. The Luxembourg side highly values Moin’s technology and network, and actively sought ways to support its expansion within Europe.
Seo Il-seok, CEO of Moin, said, “Europe is an important market in Moin’s global strategy, and we are already providing differentiated overseas remittance services in cooperation with various partners,” and added, “Through this meeting, we will do our best to expand the possibilities of cooperation with Luxembourg financial institutions and companies, and to expand Moin’s services across Europe.”
