
Long Black, Time & Co.'s knowledge content service, will hold the 'Long Black Story Conference 2025' at COEX in Seoul on April 29-30.
Long Black will tell the stories of storytellers who create unique stories that cannot be replicated in the AI era, focusing on the theme of 'the irreplaceable.'
Yasunori Takahari, CEO of CCC (Culture Convenience Club) Group, which operates Japan's leading lifestyle bookstore Tsutaya, will be visiting Korea for this event.
CEO Yasunori Takahari is currently leading the transformation of Tsutaya. He plans to share the CCC Group’s retail strategy, which is expanding into various space business experiments beyond bookstores, such as shared space Share Lounge, Shibuya Tsutaya renewal, and Tsutaya Pilates.
Leading Korean storytellers will also share their ‘storytelling know-how’ at the conference. Kim Ji-yeon, CEO of First Man Studio, the production company behind Netflix’s ‘Squid Game’ and the film ‘The Fortress,’ will share insights into the process of discovering and creating explosive stories.
Chef Edward Lee, the runner-up in season 1 of Netflix's survival show 'Black and White Chef', is delivering a message online. Known for telling stories through his cooking, he plans to tell how he has incorporated his life into his cooking.
In addition, Ji Sung-won, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Hyundai Motor Company and Head of Brand Marketing, will tell the story of Hyundai Motor Company’s journey to find its roots, and Lim Hye-soon, CMO of Tous Les Jours, will reveal the secrets of creating a hit with an unfamiliar cake commercial.
“AI is developing rapidly, but ultimately, the most powerful stories come from people’s hard work,” said Time & Co., which operates Long Black. “The event will convey the insights of irreplaceable storytellers who create unique stories that cannot be easily imitated.”
