In response to changes in the public education market where student life records are becoming more important, Gongdo is operating the next-generation edutech platform 'Engineering Library' that supports students' career path planning and teachers' life record management with AI. Gongdo, which was selected for the 2023 TIPS program in recognition of its technological prowess and growth potential, plans to proactively respond to changes in the education market and lead future educational innovation through its partnership with Gross One.
GrothOne discovers startups with innovative ideas and technologies, and conducts comprehensive cooperation from the initial stage to market entry and expansion. It provides practical assistance in various fields such as strategy establishment, technology development, and marketing by utilizing professional personnel with abundant startup experience and accumulated know-how, and helps startups to quickly respond to industry changes and consumer demands and conduct business. So far, GrothOne has worked closely with many startups to design competitive business models and develop and discover innovative services.
Gongdo changed its business from the existing 'information curriculum education content-centered service' to 'AI-based life record writing support system'. In the process, it went through the merger process, which can be difficult for early startups, and Gross One planned the merger process with Gongdo and supported communication with stakeholders to ensure a smooth conclusion.
In particular, Grothwon discovered and developed a business model together during the process of launching Gongdo's 'AI-based life record writing support system'. In particular, they established operational directions and strategic goals that can be introduced without burden in the market. This successfully supported Gongdo's business transformation by reestablishing a market entry strategy and business model based on a thorough understanding of the service. In addition, Gongdo provides various educational contents centered on information subjects in addition to the AI system, and is evaluated to support personalized learning experiences and maximizing learning effects tailored to aptitude and advancement goals.
Song Yong-nam, CEO of Gongdo, said, “Through our partnership with Grothone, we are receiving stable support necessary for the company’s growth, including business strategy, investment attraction, and organizational management.” He added, “Gongdo will continue to lead the changes in the education market and strive to contribute to the development of future talent with innovative solutions.”
GrothOne is aiming to become a Korean-style venture studio. There are many famous venture studios with long histories overseas, such as Bill Gross' Idealab, but they are still lacking for Korean startups. GrothOne's goal is to grow into a venture studio suitable for the domestic startup environment. The biggest difference is that it goes beyond simple mentoring or network introductions, and deeply engages with the problems and realities faced by startups to solve them together. Unlike global venture studios, it does not stop at simply proposing ideas and giving advice, but solves problems in all areas essential for startup growth, such as verifying business feasibility, establishing corporate strategies, establishing product development directions, team building, and establishing organizational culture. Through this, it plans to lead and pull each other's growth in a 'moving forward together' manner with startups, and present a new paradigm for the domestic startup ecosystem as a true business partner.
