– PCCP regular exam opening and exam fee discount promotion for KEPCO first half of 2025 college graduate recruitment

Grep (CEO Seongsu Lim), which operates the developer education, evaluation, and recruitment platform Programmers, announced on the 5th that the Programmers Coding Professional Certification (PCCP) has been adopted as an additional point item for the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) first half of 2025 college graduate recruitment. Applicants can receive additional points according to their PCCP level, and there will also be a promotion for PCCP regular tests and exam fee discounts to prepare for KEPCO recruitment.
Programmers Certified Coding Professional (PCCP) is a qualification exam that objectively evaluates the practical capabilities of software developers. It is currently used in the recruitment and promotion evaluation processes of approximately 400 companies, including KB Kookmin Bank, LG CNS, and HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering. Unlike existing theory-centered qualifications, it increases reliability by evaluating practical coding capabilities, and is becoming an important evaluation criterion for hiring developers. In particular, the exam is operated through the artificial intelligence-based online exam proctoring solution 'Monito', and is trusted by public and large corporations as it allows stable exam progress even in a non-face-to-face environment.
KEPCO will introduce PCCP as a bonus point item for the first time in the first half of 2025 college graduate recruitment (March 11-14). Applicants can receive bonus points based on their PCCP level, and all applicants except for the ICT field will receive common bonus points (5 bonus points for those with PCCP Lv. 2 to Lv. 5), and ICT field applicants will receive bonus points for qualifications by field (10 points for Lv. 3 to Lv. 5, 5 points for those with Lv. 2).
In the PCCP exam, candidates must choose one of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Java, C, C++, and C#, and write four codes. The results can be checked immediately after the exam. Depending on the score, a grade from Lv. 1 to Lv. 5 is given, and the grade is also used as an objective evaluation material in the corporate hiring process.
For KEPCO public recruitment applicants, PCCP rolling applications will be accepted until midnight on Thursday, March 6, and a 15,000 won exam fee discount promotion will be provided only to those taking the exam on Saturday, March 8.
Grep CEO Im Seong-su said, “KEPCO’s introduction of PCCP has been recognized for its value as a standard for verifying practical SW capabilities,” and “We plan to continuously improve the test difficulty and evaluation criteria so that programmers’ capability certification tests, including PCCP, can become more reliable evaluation tools.”
Meanwhile, detailed information about taking and registering for the PCCP exam can be found on the Programmers Certification website .
