Small and Medium Venture Business Certification Institute and Korea Social Welfare Council Sign Business Agreement

The Korea Small and Medium Business Administration (KOSRE) and the Korea Social Welfare Council (Chairman Kim Seong-i) signed a business agreement for the ‘ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) Promotion Project for Social Welfare Facilities’ at the Korea Social Welfare Council conference room on the 28th.

This agreement was prepared by the Korea Social Welfare Council and the Small and Medium Venture Business Certification Institute, a member of the Korea Social Welfare Council and an expert organization in ISO management system certification and auditor training, in cooperation with the Korea Social Welfare Council to promote awareness of ISO 45001 in social welfare facilities, strengthen safety management capabilities, and promote certification to promote safe facility operation and environmental improvement.

On this day, the two organizations decided to actively provide benefits such as reduced ISO 45001 certification audit fees and educational programs to promote safety and health management in social welfare facilities.

With this agreement, the Small and Medium Venture Business Certification Institute plans to focus on ▲ISO 45001 certification audits for social welfare facilities ▲ISO 45001 internal professional training, and the Korea Council for Social Welfare plans to actively pursue ▲promotion of certification and training and discovery of demand for participating facilities ▲support for professional training, etc.

Chairman Kim Seong-i said, “Through this agreement, we hope that social welfare facilities will raise awareness of occupational safety and health management systems and, by obtaining ISO 45001 certification and establishing occupational safety and health management systems, we will help these facilities become safe and healthy workplaces.”

Director Jin-Yeop Eom said, “As the application of the Serious Disaster Punishment Act is expanding, we will actively cooperate in supporting social welfare facilities to obtain ISO 45001 certification and train internal experts.”

Meanwhile, the Small and Medium Venture Business Certification Institute is a public specialized certification and evaluation organization under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups established with investment from the Small and Medium Venture Business Promotion Agency. It is carrying out various projects such as ISO certification, certified company education and training, certification auditor training, ESG management level diagnosis, and labor-management cooperation certification.
