Entels, a communications solutions specialist, announced on the 5th that its database product, ‘TarzanDB’, received GS certification level 1 from the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA).
TarzanDB is a next-generation database optimized for large-scale data processing and real-time analysis, designed to maximize data processing speed and operational efficiency. In particular, it has significantly improved operational efficiency by significantly improving core PostgreSQL-based functions such as ultra-high-speed query performance, automated high availability, fault analysis functions, and enhanced vacuum monitoring.
GS certification is a nationally recognized certification system that verifies the quality and reliability of domestic software products, and evaluates the safety and performance of products through tests that simulate actual operating environments. GS certification grade 1 is a grade that is only given to products that meet the highest level of quality, and through this certification, TarzanDB's technological prowess and market competitiveness have been officially recognized.
With TarzanDB's acquisition of GS certification level 1, Entels plans to enter the domestic PostgreSQL-based DB market in earnest. According to the Korea Data Industry Promotion Agency, the domestic RDBMS market size is approximately 200 billion won per year, and Entels plans to strengthen customized technical support by emphasizing the scalability and price competitiveness of open source PostgreSQL.
In particular, Entels has established a rapid technical support system based on its domestic R&D center to address the lack of technical support for existing database products. Through this, domestic expert engineers respond to customers’ technical issues in real time and provide performance optimization consulting, failure analysis, and maintenance support.
Choi Il-gyu, CEO of Entels, said, “TarzanDB has been officially recognized for its quality and performance through GS certification level 1,” and added, “We will lead the domestic market as a domestic database product that combines economy and stability, and expand existing customer references based on differentiated technology support infrastructure.”
