First, Alibaba Cloud received the second highest score in the “Current Offering” and “Strategy” categories among nine global vendors, and was named a “Leader” in The Forrester Wave™: Public Cloud Platforms Q4 2024 report. This achievement reflects the company’s strong competitiveness and strategy in cloud and AI solutions, its position in the global market, and its ability to provide a wide range of products and services for global customers.
This report analyzed that Alibaba Cloud has proven its AI technology capabilities through its self-developed AI models, wide selection of base models, and MaaS (Model-as-a-Service) innovation, and especially positively evaluated the fact that it is serving as a major AI model repository in China based on its strong infrastructure and MaaS capabilities.
Meanwhile, Alibaba Cloud has once again proven its strong competitiveness in the fields of container management and cloud database management, as well as cloud native infrastructure and AI capabilities, through a recent Gartner report.
Alibaba Cloud has been named a Leader in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Container Management for the second consecutive year, based on a comprehensive evaluation of its broad product portfolio spanning hybrid cloud and edge environments, its broad use across the Alibaba Group ecosystem, and its solid leadership in the China market.
Alibaba Cloud continues to pursue innovation in container technology based on this Gartner selection. Recently, it officially launched its serverless container solution, 'Alibaba Cloud Container Compute Service (ACS)', in the global market. ACS is designed to simplify and optimize application deployment in various hardware and system environments, and is expected to enable global companies to operate their IT infrastructure more efficiently and maximize scalability.
Alibaba Cloud has also been named a Leader in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Cloud Database Management Systems (DBMS) for the fifth consecutive year. Alibaba Cloud continues to lead technological innovation by expanding the accessibility of advanced database solutions through the latest upgrades. At its flagship technology conference, the Apsara Conference in 2024, it unveiled DMS: OneMeta+OneOps, an integrated data management platform that integrates databases, data warehouses, and data lakes in a multi-cloud environment. The platform improves data utilization by up to 10 times, helping enterprises manage data more efficiently and create greater value, further solidifying Alibaba Cloud’s leadership in cloud database management.
