Pablo Aviation's Fire Drone Wins iF Design Award

Pablo Aviation (CEO Kim Young-jun), a company specializing in autonomous swarm control of unmanned vehicles, announced on the 5th that its flame drone 'PabloX F40' won the grand prize (Winner) in the product category of the iF Design Award 2025.

The iF Design Award, hosted by the International Forum in Germany, is a prestigious international design award that is considered one of the three major design awards along with the Red Dot Design Award and IDEA. This year, approximately 11,000 works from 66 countries were submitted.

The 'PabloX F40', which won the award after fierce competition, is a performance pyrotechnic drone of Pablo Aviation. It is a model that can implement LED lights and pyrotechnics at the same time, and it is a drone that can be expanded to the defense field and aircraft exterior inspection field in the future. In order to enable accurate speed and swarm control, the weight was reduced, extending the flight time and increasing the efficiency and stability of the system. The differentiated design with a solid and unique concept received high scores in all evaluation items such as ▲differentiation ▲function ▲idea ▲influence ▲form, and was honored with the award.

The PabloX F series has received flight approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and is actively operating overseas. In particular, Pablo Aviation began selling the F40 in the U.S. last year and has been establishing a position in the global fireworks drone show market. After successfully completing the LA Dodgers Stadium drone show in September last year, it has also participated in major events in the U.S. such as the LA Memorial Stadium Cai show, Netflix RAM drone show, and Seattle Space Needle New Year's countdown event.

“The F40 is a model that decorates the sky with organic movements through swarm flight like fireflies, and we pursued the perfect balance between performance and design,” said Lee Si-on, PabloX Aviation Lead, who oversaw the product design of the PabloX F40. “Winning this iF Design Award is the result of global recognition of the innovation and design excellence of the PabloX F40.”

Meanwhile, Pablo Aviation is strengthening its corporate competitiveness through R&D and business expansion centered on swarm coordination technology, which is the core of autonomous swarm drone operation. Last month, it made a full-fledged entry into the defense industry, unveiling the next-generation 'military swarm drone combat system' and the attack drone 'PabloM S10s' at DSK 2025. In addition, it plans to further advance swarm drone technology and expand its business to commercial and public sectors such as aircraft exterior inspection and facility safety surveillance.
