Flexcil signs content supply contract with water company

Edtech company Flexcil announced that it has signed a content supply contract with Sumunsa, a publisher specializing in medical, nursing, and health science university textbooks, and will exclusively supply the '2026 Nursing National Examination Key Problem Book' as an e-book through its learning specialized e-book platform 'SCONN'.

The workbook that is being exclusively supplied this time is a workbook for the national nursing exam written by the Korean Society of Nursing Science, and starting this year, it will be published only in e-book form without a paper book. In particular, as the national nursing exam is promoting the introduction of computer adaptive testing (CAT) starting in 2028, Scon provides various digital learning tools such as ▲digital test function ▲timer ▲automatic scoring ▲automatic error note generation to help test takers become accustomed to the digital test environment.

Scone is blocking illegal distribution by preventing e-book publishers from distributing scanned copies of paper books, and as a result, sales are increasing. Accordingly, not only test takers but also Su-moon-sa and the Korean Society of Nursing Science are expecting synergy effects through this collaboration. The workbook can be purchased through Su-moon-sa's own mall 'Edupark' and Scone Book Cafe, and digital anatomy stickers to help study anatomy will also be provided.

The Korean Society of Nursing Science is an academic society with over 50 years of history, and with over 4,200 nursing scholars, it actively carries out academic activities domestically and internationally, contributing to the development of nursing education. This problem book is written directly by the Korean Society of Nursing Science, and is content with credibility and expertise, and is provided to users through Scone.

Scone received favorable reviews after demonstrating its e-book function to executives of the Korean Society of Nursing Science at the 15th International Conference on Nursing Science and the 28th East Asian Nursing Scholars Forum held for two days from February 13. As a result of this event, Scone was selected as the exclusive distributor of the Korean Society of Nursing Science's national nursing exam preparation workbook.

Scon, a learning-specialized e-book platform of Flexcil, prevents illegal copying of e-books through strong security technology. Technologies such as two-step encryption of original files, capture prevention, and digital fingerprinting are applied to prevent illegal distribution and copyright infringement of textbooks, and also contribute to increasing sales of partner companies. According to the 'Copyright Protection Annual Report' published by the Korea Copyright Protection Agency, 83.3% of college students responded that they have experience using electronic scanned copies of university textbooks, and e-book distribution through Scon is playing an important role in solving this problem.

Flexcil also achieved sales of essential liberal arts digital textbooks for Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in September and October last year, exceeding the sales of large bookstores and online bookstores by more than 10 times. Recently, it has expanded into the elementary, middle, and high school education content market through content supply contracts with Emergency Education and Ice Cream Edu.

Flexcil CEO Kwon Jeong-gu said, “This content supply contract was possible thanks to Scone’s various learning efficiency tools and thorough security environment,” and added, “We will continue to work with various partners to protect content copyrights and innovate the digital learning environment.”
