Enlighten, Chungcheongnam-do and RE100 Business Agreement Signed

Energy and climate tech company Enlighten (CEO Youngho Lee) announced on the 4th that it signed a RE100 business agreement with South Chungcheong Province and will actively support the transition of local companies to renewable energy.

This agreement was signed at the 'Strong Chungnam RE100 Promotion Business Agreement Ceremony' held at the Chungcheongnam-do Arts Center on February 26. The event was attended by approximately 800 people, including Chungcheongnam-do Governor Kim Tae-heum, heads of 15 cities and counties, and representatives from power generation and energy companies.

Through this agreement, Enlighten will work with local governments, industrial complex corporations, and industrial complex tenant companies associations to help companies in South Chungcheong Province achieve RE100 more easily. To this end, it plans to provide customized solutions including RE100 solar power subscription services and PPAs.

In particular, Enlighten plans to expand its RE100 solar subscription service to factories in industrial complexes and agro-industrial complexes based on its engineering capabilities accumulated through directly constructing and operating solar power facilities in factories of large and medium-sized companies. Through this, it will help companies resolve technical issues such as roof waterproofing, building structure, and electrical connections that they are concerned about during the solar power installation process, while also helping them maximize energy cost savings and greenhouse gas reduction effects without initial investment.

Enlighten's RE100 solar subscription service is expected to contribute to the realization of carbon neutrality by reducing the economic burden on local businesses while accelerating the achievement of RE100 goals.

“This business agreement will be an opportunity for South Chungcheong Province to take a step further in realizing RE100,” said Lee Young-ho, CEO of Enlighten. “Enlighten will do its best to provide economical and sustainable renewable energy solutions so that more companies can achieve their carbon neutrality goals without burden.”
