Ellis Cloud Obtains Cloud Service Security Certification

Ellis Group (CEO Jae-won Kim) 's AI-specialized cloud 'Ellis Cloud' became the first domestic AI PMDC to obtain Cloud Service Security Certification (CSAP) for the IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) type on February 27.

CSAP is a security certification system that private companies must obtain in order to provide cloud services to government and public institutions. IaaS type security certification must be evaluated for conformity to 116 control items in 14 fields.

With this certification, Ellis Group will be able to participate in various cloud projects promoted by the government and public institutions and provide cloud services with proven safety and reliability. First, we plan to build a stable education infrastructure environment by introducing the AI digital textbook development project that requires CSAP-certified IaaS as a prerequisite.

Ellis Cloud provides AI-specific cloud solutions based on the Ellis AI PMDC (Portable Modular Data Center). Ellis AI PMDC is composed of modules that can be physically isolated, enabling efficient expansion according to changes in AI demand, and if necessary, dozens of PMDCs can be connected to operate an AI cluster. It also prevents external leakage of sensitive data by building a private cloud environment.

Prior to acquiring CSAP IaaS this time, Ellis Group acquired the CSAP SaaS standard grade and the international information security certifications ISO27001 and ISO27701 last year, receiving recognition from a credible organization for its global-level security capabilities for all AI solutions.

Kim Jae-won, CEO of Ellis Group, said, “With the acquisition of CSAP IaaS, we will fully expand our presence in the public cloud sector and establish ourselves as a partner that provides a stable cloud environment to government and public institution customers.” He added, “We will gradually expand this to edge data centers to enable AI transformation (AX) in various national industrial sectors such as education, healthcare, and manufacturing.”
