DayOne Company (CEO Kangmin Lee) announced on the 27th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with robot specialist company XYG for the training of robot specialists.
This agreement focuses on building a systematic robot education ecosystem by combining DayOne Company’s advanced education platform with XYG’s robot technology expertise. In particular, it aims to foster convergence talents equipped with AI and robot technology required in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
XYG is a startup specializing in the development of intelligent robots, and its technological prowess has been recognized by commercializing barista robots, blood transport healthcare robots, etc. In addition, it was the first domestic robot company to launch an academy for training robot practitioners, and received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award for this. XYG Academy is an educational facility with the largest number of the latest collaborative robots, E-Series, in Korea, and provides high-spec robot H/W as teaching aids and conducts robot education through a practical curriculum. The first humanoid robot education in Korea is also scheduled to open within the first half of the year.
The collaboration between the two companies largely consists of three parts. First, they will provide specialized robot education to students taking Fast Campus’ S/W·AI education, and support talented individuals with programming and AI capabilities to acquire robot technology. Second, they will open a new regular ‘AI+Robot’ course, and provide a systematic curriculum from the basics of robot programming to AI linkage in a 36-hour course, 3 hours per week for 3 months. Third, XYG will participate in the ‘K-Digital Training (K-DT)’ national subsidy project operated by Fast Campus as a participating company, and plan to provide trainees with opportunities for practical experience in the robot field and link them to the hiring of excellent talent.
“The convergence of AI and robotics will innovatively reorganize the industrial paradigm and become a key driving force that will determine national competitiveness,” said Kangmin Lee, CEO of DayOne Company. “Through this strategic partnership with XYG, we will actively discover and foster AI and robotics convergence talents who will lead the next-generation digital economy, thereby contributing to securing Korea’s technological leadership in the global robotics industry ecosystem.”
