Top Mobility Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Top Mobility), a future aviation mobility specialist in Asia, announced on the 27th that it had been selected for the Credit Guarantee Fund’s Little Penguin Program.
The Little Penguin Program is a startup incubation system that supports companies with excellent technology and creative ideas, and is the pre-stage business for the First Penguin, the representative startup support program of the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund. This program plays an important role in supporting the growth of promising startups and tech companies.
Top Mobility, specializing in the development of electric aircraft services and solutions, is applying for domestic and US patents and aims to secure technology leadership. In 2024, it was selected for TIPS, a startup incubation program jointly run by the public and private sectors, and is currently developing technologies essential to the operation of electric aircraft, including AI operation efficiency optimization algorithms, electric aircraft maintenance systems, fire prevention, and smart chargers, which are expected to be commercialized soon.
Starting with the commercialization of electric aircraft from 2025, we also plan to pursue POC (Proof of Concept) demonstrations of smart chargers and AI operation optimization systems.
After completing the introduction and registration of electric aircraft in 2024, Top Mobility is identifying problems based on raw data obtained through actual operation. In particular, considering the fact that the temperature difference between summer and winter in Korea is more than 40°C due to the weather characteristics, research and development is being conducted to resolve the impact on battery efficiency and charging speed. Through this, the plan is to build a sustainable and profitable electric aircraft operation system.
Regarding being selected for the Little Penguin program, CEO Chan-Young Jeong of Top Mobility said, “We are in the final stages of preparing for the launch of the service ahead of 2025, a historic moment for the aviation industry in Asia beyond Korea,” and “We will establish ourselves as a future aviation mobility solutions specialist and take the lead in the market.”
