Awesome School Receives Minister of Education Award

Awesome School, which was selected as an excellent operating organization in the 'Digital Sprout' program hosted by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, announced on the 27th that it received a commendation from the Minister of Education in recognition of its contribution to the activation of digital education.

The 'Digital Sprout' program is a nationwide digital education program hosted by the Ministry of Education, 17 provincial offices of education, and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, with the goal of stimulating interest and curiosity in software and artificial intelligence (AI) for elementary, middle, and high school students and providing opportunities for experience and learning. Awesome School hosted the 2024 Digital Sprout Program and developed and operated original educational content in cooperation with Glorant and Modu's Research Institute.

In the 2024 Digital Sprout Program, Awesome School introduced the core concept of ‘Completing the Digital Marathon’. This aims to go beyond short-term digital education and help students form consistent learning habits and acquire practical digital capabilities. While existing digital education focused only on how to use technology, Awesome School planned for students to experience ‘the process of discovering and solving problems in the world’ using technology.

Additionally, we incorporated entrepreneurship and change maker mindsets into our education, enabling students to carry out projects that define and solve problems on their own.

Awesome School has been operating the Digital Sprout Program for four consecutive times since the winter break of 2022, providing long-term learning opportunities to students.

The recipient of this award, General Manager Chanhee Jeong, received the Minister of Education's Award on December 31, 2024 for his contributions to increasing accessibility to digital education and establishing a sustainable learning model.

Manager Jeong Chan-hee said in his acceptance speech, “The goal of digital education is to help students grow into creative problem solvers beyond simple technical acquisition,” and added, “We will continue to innovate digital education and contribute to creating an educational environment that is easily accessible to everyone.”
