Simple Platform announced on the 26th that it will provide AI services to S&S TECH, a blank mask manufacturer.
SNS Tech is the first company in Korea to develop and produce blank masks, a key raw material in the semiconductor and display manufacturing process, and provides various products, including blank masks for semiconductors and blank masks for FPDs. SNS Tech has major semiconductor and display companies as its customers, not only in Korea but also around the world.
Blank mask is a raw material for photomasks, which are essential for semiconductor and LCD manufacturing, and is used before forming electronic circuit patterns on clean plates. This product is processed into a photomask by depositing a metal film of chromium and chromium compounds on a quartz glass substrate and then using an electron beam or laser process. Japanese companies monopolized the market, but domestic companies have succeeded in localizing it through technological development, contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of the semiconductor and display industries.
Simple Platform will provide AI-based services that detect abnormal conditions in products in SNS Tech’s production process and analyze defective images to identify the type of defect. The AI functions provided include ▲learning data management ▲model version management ▲re-learning management ▲distribution management, etc.
Simple Platform has already successfully identified product defect issues through SNS Tech’s process monitoring last year, and has since been providing consulting to optimize AI application. In addition, the goal is to expand the process monitoring target of blank masks and introduce Vision AI-based quality inspection to maximize manufacturing efficiency.
