Foreign currency payment fintech company Travel Wallet announced that it signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with CJ OliveNetworks and plans to expand domestic payment services for domestic and foreign members by introducing a simple payment service linked with CJ ONE.
The signing ceremony was held at the CJ OliveNetworks headquarters, and was attended by key officials including TravelWallet CEO Kim Hyung-woo, CJ OliveNetworks CEO Yoo In-sang, TravelWallet Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) Lee Jae-won, and CJ ONE Manager Kim Dae-seong of CJ OliveNetworks.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to cooperate in ▲ expanding payment services for domestic and foreign members by linking the CJ ONE service to the Travel Wallet platform, ▲ increasing payment convenience by jointly building a member data system, and ▲ promoting joint marketing to activate members.
Travel Wallet is a foreign currency payment fintech company that allows real-time exchange and recharging of 46 currencies and payment without fees both online and offline overseas. Based on real-time exchange rates, a zero-won policy for major currency exchange (dollar, euro, yen) and overseas payment fees, and a safe financial infrastructure, it has established itself as an essential financial service for overseas travelers and global shoppers.
Through this collaboration, Travel Wallet plans to expand its simple payment options to allow customers to make payments more conveniently in Korea, and to expand its services to foreign visitors to Korea in the future.
CJ ONE is a lifestyle membership service that can be used at various affiliated brands such as Olive Young, CGV, Tous Les Jours, and Mega MGC Coffee. Travel Wallet customers can register their CJ ONE membership card in the Travel Wallet app and use barcode payments at offline stores of CJ ONE affiliated brands nationwide.
To celebrate this partnership, Travel Wallet will offer a 1.5% cashback benefit to customers who pay with CJ ONE barcode until early August. The points will be automatically accumulated when using the simple payment function in the Travel Wallet app, and the accumulated amount will be paid in Korean won in the following month.
Travel Wallet CEO Kim Hyung-woo said, “Through this agreement, we have laid the foundation for Travel Wallet customers to make payments more conveniently in Korea,” and “We will continue to strengthen our position in the domestic payment market and provide differentiated benefits to customers.”
Yoo In-sang, CEO of CJ OliveNetworks, said, “The partnership with Travel Wallet will be an important turning point that will allow us to provide seamless services to overseas customers,” and added, “CJ ONE plans to continue to cooperate with various partners to expand differentiated K-membership services globally.”
