Dassault Systèmes and KUKA Partnership

Dassault Systèmes announced on the 25th that it has signed a partnership with KUKA, a global industrial automation robot company, to provide comprehensive solutions to meet the growing demand for robotics and automation in the manufacturing industry.

Under the terms of the agreement, Dassault Systèmes will join KUKA’s digital ecosystem for industrial software solutions, mosaicx, to provide KUKA customers with an easy way to purchase and use Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform and applications. By expanding customer access to virtual twin technology and enhancing collaboration capabilities, Dassault Systèmes and KUKA, through the newly established KUKA Digital, will provide companies with the opportunity to drive the development of more efficient and adaptable solutions that transform their operations.

Driven by AI, energy efficiency and other trends, the global market value of industrial robot installations is estimated at USD 16.5 billion. It is estimated that by 2024, there will be more than 4 million industrial robots in operation in factories worldwide, and the annual installations are expected to increase to 718,000 units by 2026. In 2024, the KUKA Group launched mosaixx to provide an open, collaborative cloud platform for software in the industrial robotics sector. Regardless of machine type or manufacturer, system integrators and engineers have access to a wide range of solutions to drive the digitalization and automation of factory floors and production machines using an ecosystem approach.

Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform and applications are used worldwide by the industrial equipment industry to virtually design, simulate and engineer products, processes and infrastructure, leveraging real-time data, before they are physically produced or built.

“Working with Dassault Systèmes allows us to expand the MosaicX portfolio with industry-leading virtual twin technology,” said Quirin Goerz, CEO KUKA Digital. “Engineers can simulate and analyze data using real-time data, and system integrators can adapt and innovate with flexible applications through streamlined collaboration.”

“Our partnership with KUKA will allow us to offer streamlined access to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and its many applications, including CATIA, DELMIA and SOLIDWORKS,” said Gian Paolo Bassi, SVP Customer Experience, Dassault Systèmes. “With this partnership, we will open up new possibilities for our customers to benefit from virtual worlds and collaborate and innovate in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, metalworking, logistics and healthcare.”

This partnership was announced exclusively for the SolidWorks and 3DEXPERIENCE platform user community at Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE World 2025 event in Houston, USA.
