
Glorant (CEO Taeil Hwang, Brand Kug) has formalized the 'Largest EdTech Alliance' by attracting a strategic investment (SI) of 2 billion won from Ice Cream Media , which has a wide market share and capital in the domestic public education sector. The two companies signed an investment contract and a joint business agreement on February 20, 2025, and decided to jointly attack the domestic and international education markets with a focus on educational cooperation projects.
◆ Combination of Ice Cream Media’s investment and business know-how with Glorang’s AI diagnostic testing
Ice Cream Media operates a variety of public education specialized services, including 'Ice Cream S', a classroom content and learning material platform used by over 95% of elementary schools nationwide, textbooks, online teacher training centers, Ice Cream Mall, Hi Class, Thinker Bell, and Class Tool. Based on its edutech expertise for schools accumulated for over 15 years and solutions tailored to the public education field, it is securing an unrivaled competitive edge in the elementary education sector.
Meanwhile, Glorant is growing rapidly centered around the 'Kug' platform, and possesses over 100 types of psychological, aptitude, interest, and personality diagnostic test data through its subsidiary Korea Guidance. The AI diagnostic test SaaS, which has advanced this based on AI, already has support systems in English, Korean, and Japanese, and Thai, Indonesian, and Vietnamese versions are also being prepared. With the combination of Ice Cream Media's abundant investment and business capabilities and Glorant's AI and data technology, the speed of conquering the overseas public and private education markets is expected to greatly accelerate.

The two companies will jointly target the global edtech market in the future. They plan to use Ice Cream Media’s experience in participating in overseas fairs and exhibitions and its extensive global partner network to enter major Asian regions such as Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The AI diagnostic test SaaS platform that Glorant is developing can be widely used for children from 6 years old to adults, and it is expected to meet the needs of local educational institutions through advanced functions such as AI consultation linkage and big data analysis.

◆ Art Bongbong and Korea Guidance Collaborate… Expanding the Art Psychology Test Market
Ice Cream Art, an affiliate of Ice Cream Media, also offers ‘Art Bongbong’ and AI drawing psychology test solutions through the nationwide sales network of Korea Guidance, a subsidiary of Glorant. This program, which combines art education and psychological diagnosis, is different from existing subject-centered learning in that it takes care of students’ emotions and creativity. The two companies also left open the possibility of building a comprehensive solution by connecting AI diagnostic tests and art psychology in the future.
