
EdTech company Techville Education (CEO Lee Hyeong-se) announced on the 25th that it successfully held and concluded the '2025 Digital Sprout Challenge'.
Techville Education was selected as the main organization for the 'Honam/Jeju Region Digital Sprout Project' starting in 2022, signed an agreement with Creative Convergence Talent Education Center, a specialized ICT/SW education organization, and has produced over 10,000 Digital Sprout Camp students to date.
Digital Sprout is an educational program that provides opportunities to experience SW·AI education programs to reduce the digital education gap and improve digital capabilities of elementary, middle, and high school students nationwide.
This Digital Sprout Challenge competition was designed to share and disseminate the results of the Digital Sprout Camp that has been held so far and to help students develop creative problem-solving skills.
This competition was held on the 15th at Naju Bitgaram Elementary School and was conducted in conjunction with the Digital Sprout Camp program. A total of 80 students from various regions of Jeollanam-do, including not only Naju but also Haenam, Gangjin, Mokpo, and Gwangju, participated.
Students participating in the competition took on 10 challenge tasks, including climate change data analyst, robot coordinator, drone project to save the planet, and virtual deep-sea research lab in VR, using digital devices such as drones, robots, VR devices, and AI image creation software.
Students who successfully completed the most challenges were selected separately and given awards, and time was spent promoting the continuous development of the Digital Sprout Camp.
Park Ki-hyun, head of the EdTech division of Techville Education, said, “This Digital Sprout Competition is an event to think of in-depth problem-solving methods while taking on challenges based on what you’ve learned with Digital Sprout, and to foster creative problem-solving skills and digital convergence capabilities through the solving process.” He added, “We will continue to do our best to publicize and spread the excellence of Digital Sprout through excellent programs.”
Techville Education operated a total of five programs, including three basic digital sprout programs containing core digital capabilities and two specialized programs considering curriculum integration and career linkage, from April 2024 to February of this year, and produced a total of more than five students from elementary, middle, and high schools in the Honam and Jeju regions.
Meanwhile, Techville Education is currently recruiting experienced workers for all positions in the first half of 2025.
