ARGOS Identity, an AI-based identity platform company, announced on the 24th that it provided ID check services to DSRV, a blockchain infrastructure service company, to build a blockchain-based payment system.
As the importance of security systems is highlighted along with the rapid growth of the digital asset market, it is expected that approximately 6.8% of the global population will own digital assets in 2024. This corresponds to approximately 562 million people, and the introduction of AI-based verification systems is increasing to reduce security risks such as identity forgery and money laundering that may occur in the digital asset market.
Through this contract, Argos will provide DSRV with continuous monitoring beyond the establishment of a customer verification (KYC) process. Argos uses AI technology in a non-face-to-face environment to support identity verification quickly and accurately, and in particular, its non-face-to-face self-verification (eKYC) service, ID check, boasts high accuracy through the function of detecting ID and face forgery. Through this, it has provided convenience and reliability to users.
The ID check introduced by DSRV uses AI to judge various identity forgery attempts in real time and confirms whether they are forged, thereby blocking identity theft attempts in advance. It maintains the principle of one account per person, ensuring high security, and also contributes to corporate compliance with laws and regulations and preventing money laundering.
Currently, DSRV supports more than 70 major blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon, and manages more than 4 trillion won in digital assets, ranking first in the domestic Ethereum staking market and ninth in the global market. With the introduction of this service, it has become possible to build an essential customer verification process in blockchain-based payment system projects.
Argos Identity CEO Won-gyu Lee said, “It is meaningful that DSRV can strengthen its reliability and security as a leading company in the blockchain payment system through Argos ID check,” and “Through this contract, we will provide safer and more efficient services to customers and contribute to increasing the reliability of the next-generation payment market based on blockchain.”
DSRV CEO Kim Ji-yoon said, “Through this collaboration, we can provide customers with a reliable infrastructure in the rapidly growing blockchain market and further strengthen security and safe payments,” adding, “We plan to further solidify our position as a global blockchain infrastructure company.”
