AI Korea, which is currently pursuing a merger with Korea's 14th Horse Pack, has joined hands with 3rd generation vision artificial intelligence (AI) leading company 'Snuai Lab' . AI Korea announced on the 21st that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Snuai Lab for joint development of an AI-based next-generation autonomous robot (AMR) platform.
This agreement is centered on the advancement of autonomous driving robot platforms that incorporate AI technology. The two companies will develop a new concept of autonomous driving robots that apply algorithms based on deep learning and anomaly detection. This is a much more advanced method than the existing data filtering analysis method.
Recently, AI Korea has collaborated with its affiliates to launch an innovative robot product that can perform various functions such as transportation, assembly, and inspection based on ultra-precision autonomous driving technology, and is currently preparing to apply it to global companies. The company expects that this collaboration will enable the development of even more advanced robots.
SnuaIlab is a vision AI specialized company jointly founded by six AI professors from Seoul National University, researchers from Seoul National University Technology Holdings, and Samsung. It has a history of successfully carrying out numerous projects in cooperation with major domestic global corporations as well as leading overseas companies such as Japan's Daifuku and a major German inspection equipment company.
SnuiLab's flagship product, 'AutoCare Platform', is a vision inspection automation platform based on a visual language model (VLM). It supports more sophisticated vision AI analysis in conjunction with the field learning solution 'AutoCare-Waffe', the image restoration solution 'AutoCare-SIRNet', and the defect detection solution 'AutoCare-SINNet', and its major feature is that it automatically adapts to new data and process changes to continuously improve inspection accuracy.
Based on the AutoCare Platform and core AI technology, Snuailab has succeeded in solving problems in various areas that were previously considered impossible to automate inspections. In addition, it is developing and supplying world-class products in the medical X-Ray field as well as vision AI platforms linked to robots. Currently, Snuailab is selecting an underwriter and preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) with the goal of listing on the KOSDAQ market in 2026.
An AI Korea official said, “We expect that this collaboration will enable the development of a new platform that combines robots and AI,” adding, “In particular, by introducing anomaly detection and deep learning-based active risk detection systems, we will be able to present safer and more efficient autonomous driving robots.”
