Cosem (360350, CEO Lee Jun-hee), a company specializing in fusion equipment based on scanning electron microscopes (SEMs), has expanded its global supply chain by signing agency contracts in Finland, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
As approximately 75% of its total sales are generated overseas, Kosem has been focusing on expanding into the global market, and announced that it has secured a supply chain in 38 countries by adding new overseas agencies to its existing 35 agencies (including dealers).
In addition to existing dealerships, we plan to supply our main products, EM-30, EM-40, CX-200, CX-300, and IP-10K, to dealerships in Finland, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
With the recent rise in the exchange rate leading to a rise in sales prices, Cosem explained that it expects that securing additional overseas distributors and strengthening overseas marketing will have a positive impact on improving performance.
Vice President Yong-Joo Kim of Kosem said, “Until 2023, China accounted for about 40% of our major sales, but as a result of our efforts to build a supply chain including overseas agencies and dealers, China’s share has decreased to less than 30% since 2024, and the share of sales in other countries has increased.”
He added, “In addition to securing new dealerships in these three countries, we are discussing additional dealership contracts within the year, which will allow us to generate sales through the expansion of our overseas supply chain and build a stable and balanced network.”
In addition, Cosem supplies its main products to various industries such as semiconductors, displays, and secondary batteries, and plans to further expand its competitiveness in the global market through the atmospheric pressure electron microscope 'ASEM' currently under development. The company explained that it is accelerating the development of ASEM based on domestic graphene production capacity and aims for commercialization in 2027.
